SSPC - The Society for Protective Coatings was founded in 1950 as the Steel Structures Painting Council, a non-profit professional society concerned with the use of coatings to protect industrial steel structures. In 1997, the name of the association was changed to The Society for Protective Coatings to better reflect the changing nature of coatings technology and the ever-expanding types of construction materials. SSPC is the only non-profit association that is focused on the protection and preservation of concrete, steel and other industrial and marine structures and surfaces through the use of high-performance protective, marine and industrial coatings. SSPC course is designed to train owners, supervisors and other representatives of industrial painting contracting companies on the delivery of two levels of the SSPC Applicator Training Program for surface preparation and coating application. It will also provideyou and your craft workers with a standardized curriculum for applicator training that you can present at your shop or job site at your own convenience ever-expanding types of construction materials. GIFTS CALIBRATION CERTIFICATION PROGRAMME
Course objective holistically covers Developing a calibration system procedures in accordance with ISO 17025 requirements., Demonstrating & understanding of measuring instrument terminology such as bias, accuracy, precision, resolution, repeatability, traceability, uncertainty of measurement. Choosing the instruments that require inclusion in the calibration system.Training on selection of appropriate calibration intervals course briefs the general introduction to calibration and its objectives, Acquaintance of terminologies like Precision, Accuracy, Traceability, Metrology, Measurement Uncertainty, Selection of measurement tools, gages andinstruments and interpretation of accuracy statements. The role of the product specification, dealing with non-conforming instruments, There will be substantial time devoted to discussion on the management and Administration of the calibration system, in particular on the procedures and systems that it is necessary to have in place to meet the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard and other quality system standards, and how to deal with quality audits on calibration. The first part of the course is devoted to technical issues to do with calibration,while the latter part of the course deals with management and administration issues.
